The republican friendly championship «CADskills-2026» has been launched in Atyrau - a competition in engineering graphics and CAD technologies for specialists in the field of technical and vocational education.
PRACTICE INSTEAD OF THEORY
According to the Regional Communications Service of Atyrau Region, 30 contestants from the city of Almaty, as well as from Karaganda, Mangystau, Akmola, Aktobe, West Kazakhstan (WKO), Turkestan and Atyrau regions are taking part in the competition.
The main feature of the championship is the emphasis on practical tasks rather than theoretical preparation. Participants carry out work as close as possible to real production conditions, demonstrating technical skills and the ability to solve complex engineering problems. Special attention is paid to the competency of 'Engineering Graphics CAD', which is in demand in industry.
The championship is held in accordance with WorldSkills international standards, complying with WSI (Competition Rules) and the code of ethics.
GOALS AND TASKS
“The main goal of the event is to improve the quality of specialist training in the system of technical and vocational education. Furthermore, the championship creates conditions for the exchange of experience between specialists and international experts in the field of engineering graphics and CAD technologies. During the competition, participants complete tasks involving work with metal structures, the development and implementation of profiles into databases, and also enhance their professional competencies in accordance with international WorldSkills standards,” — Bagyt Sherkeshbayeva, Director of the S. ORGANISERS AND PARTICIPANTS
The organisers of the championship are the S. Mukashev Atyrau Higher Polytechnic College with the support of NJSC ‘Talap’ - the national operator of the WorldSkills Kazakhstan movement, the akimat of Atyrau region and the regional department of education.
Among the participants are candidates for the national championship WorldSkills Kazakhstan-2026, as well as winners of the regional stages of WorldSkills Kazakhstan-2025.
