In the town of Kulsary, Atyrau region, the roof of a school under construction collapsed. The school was planned to be brought into operation by the end of this year.
According to the Telegram channel «HALYQSTAN», the education department clarified that the facility is being built as part of a national project, with the regional construction department acting as the responsible administrator.

Representatives of the operator of the «Samruk-Kazyna Construction» project reported that the contractor is LLP «Turan Ascent».
According to preliminary data, the cause of the incident was an exceedance of the permissible load: more than six tonnes of roofing materials were placed on the gymnasium roof, which led to damage to the structure.
The operator company has set up a commission involving management, technical supervision and design supervision. A specialised organisation was brought in to assess the load-bearing capacity of the building. The contractor has undertaken to rectify all identified violations.
It will be recalled that at the beginning of September, School No. 34 named after Bauyrzhan Momyshuly in the Voskhod settlement of the city of Semey began the new academic year in an emergency condition. It was reported that water was dripping from the ceiling in the school corridors, floors were flooding, and staff were placing buckets, but this did not solve the problem.
Meanwhile, earlier the Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov ordered repairs in the country's schools to be completed by 1 September. He noted the slow pace of work in 34 schools in Almaty, the Abai and Ulytau regions, West Kazakhstan, Almaty, Kyzylorda, Atyrau, Aktobe and East Kazakhstan regions.
For his part, the Minister of Education Gani Beisembayev reported that more than 1,000 schools in Kazakhstan require major repairs.
