A video has circulated online from an online meeting of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the East Kazakhstan Region, in which the head of the department, Askar Mozhanov, rudely addresses subordinates using profanity.

A criminal case has been opened after the discovery of a woman's body in a police station in Karaganda.

On 1 October, the body of a deceased woman and an unconscious police officer were found at the local police station in the Mikhaïlovka district of Karaganda. The district inspector, a police major, was taken to intensive care in a coma. A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident.

The daughter of one of the co-owners of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), Patokh Shodiev – Munisa – received a diplomatic passport of Kazakhstan in January 2003. At the same time, she already held citizenships of Belgium and Russia, which contradicts national legislation prohibiting multiple citizenship. In 2013, the document was renewed.
