The Anti-Corruption Service has completed an investigation into the chairman of the state inspection committee in the agro-industrial complex of the Ministry of Agriculture Darkhan Abdikarimov.

According to the press service of the agency, he is accused of receiving a bribe of 4.4 million tenge from an entrepreneur. The Anti-Corruption Service shared a video showing a package of money being handed over to the suspect.

It is suspected that Abdikarimov received 5% of the value of a government procurement contract for the supply of pesticides against locusts.

By court order, he and the entrepreneur have been placed under house arrest. It is noted that the Prosecutor General's Office has sent the defendants' case to court.

It is worth recalling that the Anti-Corruption Service took an interest in Darkhan Abdikarimov in mid-October, as reported by the founder of the FBRK, Kirill Pavlov

It should be noted that in July, Abdikarimov stated that when combating locusts, it is absolutely forbidden to completely exterminate the insects, as this could disrupt the stable chain of the ecosystem.
