The Anti-Corruption Agency has shut down intermediary firms that were inflating prices for irrigation water for farmers in the Turkestan region.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the water supplier «Kazvodkhoz» now signs contracts directly with farms, which has halved the price – from 766 tenge to 421 tenge per 1,000 m3.
It is reported that the department uncovered violations as part of the implementation of the «Businesske zhol» project, which aims to address issues facing small and medium-sized businesses.
It has become known that since the launch of the project, the Anti-Corruption Agency has protected the rights of over 37,000 entrepreneurs and resolved 768 problematic cases.
At the same time, since the beginning of the year, over 7,000 entrepreneurs have received assistance in 83 cases.
