In Kostanay, due to heavy precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain, there have been several incidents of trees falling onto parked cars. Branches could not withstand the weight of the clinging snow and collapsed, damaging the vehicles. At the same time, the city is recording an increased number of road traffic accidents and emergencies on power supply networks.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescuers have dealt with the aftermath of the bad weather in several districts. In Microdistrict 8 a tree was cut up with a chainsaw and removed from a car.
On Tauelsizdik Street staff from the emergency rescue team of the Department of Emergency Situations used climbing equipment to secure the tree and pull out the car, after which they dismantled the trunk and branches. Similar work was carried out on Baimagambetov Street.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations, there are no casualties. The cars have been freed, and work to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather continues.

The bad weather has also hit the region's agriculture. On social media, farmers from the Kostanay region are posting videos of fields with unharvested wheat under a layer of snow. According to the agricultural workers, the crops are at risk of perishing, and the quality of the grain could significantly deteriorate.
The situation raises questions: did Kazhydromet warn residents of the impending danger? Who will bear responsibility for the damage caused to cars and farmland, and how will those affected be compensated for their expenses?
