The Audit Commission for the Mangystau Region has identified violations in the activities of JSC "SPK "Caspian".
According to the press service of the Supreme Audit Chamber, over the past 2 years, the SPK has committed violations worth more than 747 million tenge. Of these, violations totalling 730 million tenge are subject to recovery, and a further 17 million tenge are to be reimbursed to the budget.
At the same time, the department also found ineffective use of over 1.7 billion tenge (including assets worth 456 million tenge). Lost profits over this period amounted to more than 2.3 billion tenge.
"In particular, the SPK unjustifiably used over 500 million tenge to provide loans to business entities using funds allocated for implementing price stabilisation mechanisms for socially significant products. At the same time, direct work on price stabilisation in the region was not carried out in full. Specifically, beef, chicken meat and butter were not purchased", the statement says.
Furthermore, in 2022-2023, the SPK planned the implementation of 18 investment projects, 8 of which were never launched. As a result, funds and assets worth 154 million tenge were ineffectively spent.
It is reported that the SPK did not implement projects for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 12 MW, the planting of vineyards, the creation of a mini fish processing workshop, the opening of a flour milling workshop, etc.
"Based on the results of the audit, appropriate instructions have been issued to eliminate the identified violations", the department reported.
Recall that earlier, JSC "SPK "SHYMKENT" was brought to administrative responsibility for infringing on the rights of business entities and fined 105 million tenge.
