Systematic violations were found in the branches of JSC "KazTransGas Aimak", which resulted in consumers being unjustly charged 1.2 billion tenge.
"Following inspection activities, a number of violations were identified in the actions of the branches of JSC 'KazTransGas Aimak' regarding the establishment of additional requirements unrelated to the regulated service, expressed in charging consumers for connection, sealing, and initial gas start-up services", the press service of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies reported.
As a result, administrative cases were initiated against the branches of "KazTransGas Aimak" totalling 79,536,471 tenge.
"Prescriptions have been issued to the branches of the monopoly entity to eliminate violations of the law by refunding unjustly accrued amounts to consumers and ceasing the practice of charging fees for connection, sealing, and initial gas start-up services", the statement said.
Recall that previously, the Almaty branch of JSC "KazTransGas Aimak" had already been brought to administrative liability. For abuse of a dominant and monopoly position, the enterprise was fined 497.1 million tenge.
