The Anti-Corruption Agency has resolved more than 600 problematic cases and provided assistance to around 30,000 entrepreneurs since the launch of the "Bizneske Zhol" project.

According to the agency's press service, the highest number of issues were identified in the areas of land relations, taxation, public procurement, and connection to infrastructure.

For example, in the Aktobe region, the monopoly JSC "Aqtobe su-energy group" demanded that entrepreneurs enter into an agreement for the joint operation of their electrical installations.

Under the contract, 45 businesspeople were required to pay Aqtobe su-energy group 50,000 tenge monthly (a total of 2.2 million tenge). Otherwise, the monopoly threatened to cut off their electricity supply. Ultimately, following a recommendation from the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Aktobe region, these unjustified obligations were removed.

In another case, the Anti-Corruption Agency exposed the head of the audit department for indirect tax administration at the Astana State Revenue Department. He is suspected of demanding a bribe of 3.6 million tenge from an entrepreneur in exchange for a positive decision on a VAT refund of 36 million tenge. After receiving the money, he was caught red-handed and placed in custody.

At the same time, the Anti-Corruption Agency uncovered a corruption scheme for enriching the heads of the Akmola and Karaganda branches of JSC "Kaztemirtrans" (a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy). They systematically received bribes from entrepreneurs for the unhindered and accelerated supply of railcars. As a result, the court found them guilty and sentenced them to 7 years in prison.
