The prosecutor's office of the Zhetysu region has established that more than twenty teachers in the region had not received their due salary supplements for two years.
"For example, a music teacher at an art school in the Aksu district received the qualification category of 'teacher-researcher' in 2021 after passing her certification. However, the monthly supplement to her base salary (68,000 tenge) for this qualification category was not paid to her," the press service of the department reported.
Such supplements were also not paid to another 23 teachers. The total amount of unpaid funds exceeded 11 million tenge.
Following a prosecutor's oversight order, the teachers were paid the funds they were owed. The school's management was brought to disciplinary responsibility.
