Two workers have died at the "Mirny" quarry of the "Molodezhnaya" mine at the Don Mining and Processing Plant, a branch of JSC "TNK Kazchrome".
According to the Telegram channel "Chinovnik", the tragedy occurred on 30 October. A driver and a miner were travelling in a loaded dump truck.
"While passing the second bend in the 'Mirny' quarry, the driver of the dump truck lost control and ran onto the left safety berm of the quarry, causing the dump truck to overturn onto its right side", the report states.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced the workers dead.
"To investigate the fatal accident, a commission is being established by the department of the State Labour Inspectorate Committee for the Aktobe Region, which will determine the circumstances and causes of what happened", the report states.
It should be recalled that several accidents resulting in the deaths of miners have occurred recently.
In early September, it was reported that in the East Kazakhstan Region, at the Irtysh and Artemyevsk mines, owned by the copper mining company "KAZ Minerals", 5 workers died.
On 18 September, in the Zhambyl Region, at one of the mining and processing complexes of JSC "AK Altynalmas", a worker was buried under rock.
At the same time, in the Aktobe Region, at the mine of the mining enterprise "Aktobe Copper Company", a crusher operator died due to an ore collapse.
Literally the next day, it became known that at the Orlovskaya mine in the Abai Region, a worker died as a result of a rock mass collapse.
In early October, at the Sayak-3 mine in the Karaganda Region, there was a release of carbon monoxide. Two workers died, and several others were taken to hospital.
