Almaty Transport Prosecutor's Office prevented the threat of a technogenic emergency situation.
According to the press service of the department, prosecutors identified violations in the allocation of land for the construction of automotive gas filling compressor stations.
"In particular, in violation of current regulations, the authorised body transferred an indivisible land plot located in a tectonic fault zone with sewer pipes running beneath it, for use as a gas filling station for the metropolis's bus fleet. Thus, the responsible officials created a danger and threat of a technogenic emergency situation," the statement said.
As a result, the officials were brought to administrative responsibility. It is reported that measures are being taken to return the land plot to the balance sheet of the Almaty akimat.
