In the Abai region, staff at the specialised boarding school-gymnasium named after Abai are complaining about violations by the head of the educational institution, Rollan Tleukhanov.
According to the Telegram channel «Halyqstan», teachers claim that the director not only assigns them tasks outside their job duties but has also organised a system of cash collections.
According to them, men working at the boarding school are forced to carry out construction and maintenance work on the director's private farm or at his home on weekends.
«For example, they dug 3 wells, poured 3 foundations, replaced the roof on the winter house, built a shed and a bathhouse», the report states.
It is noted that the director also shows disrespect towards employees — being rude, insulting them and raising his voice, which, according to the teachers, negatively affects the psychological atmosphere in the team.
At the same time, it is reported that the school management collects 1,000 tenge from all teachers every month, justifying it as necessary for paying student stipends. Teachers also claim they had to contribute 10,000 tenge each towards purchasing housing for the director's driver.
The team is particularly concerned about an alleged scheme for cashing out funds.
«Money is cashed out by allocating 0.5 positions to some teachers. After the salary is deposited, they withdraw the money and give it to the management. They, in turn, claim it is for decorating the school and conducting seminars. But the teachers say they see neither one nor the other», the report states.
According to the teachers, Tleukhanov also receives a salary for teaching activities, although in reality other teachers conduct the classes.
A similar situation, they claim, concerns the director's two sons, who rarely show up for work but receive one and a half times the salary each.
Among other violations, teachers point out the untimely and incomplete payment of travel expenses. According to them, they accompany students to Olympiads and various events at their own expense, despite the gymnasium having its own transport.
The organisation of an automotive club raises separate questions. The teachers claim that funds are allocated for its operation, but no classes are held and there is no specialised classroom. The «seven» model car intended for practical driving lessons is, according to the teachers, located on the farm belonging to the director.
Teachers also report violations in the organisation of hot meals. According to their information, for the last five years the canteen has been run by sole trader «Dzhumagaliev», but products are delivered from the farm of «Tlebaldina N.Kh.» — the wife of the gymnasium director. It is noted that the school accountant accompanies the food delivery, while the teachers do the unloading.
According to the teachers, they have reported these facts to the regional labour inspectorate and higher authorities, but inspections have not led to the elimination of the violations. They say the atmosphere in the team is tense: staff have split into two camps, one of which is led by the director and his associates.
The school employees call on the Prosecutor General's Office and the Agency for Financial Monitoring to investigate these facts and protect their rights. In support of their claims, they provide receipts, documents, correspondence, and audio and video recordings.
