The Prosecutor's Office of the Zhambyl Region conducted an analysis of the activities of one of the region's major enterprises, specialising in mining. During the inspection, it was established that the company was unjustifiably increasing payments on securities and attributing them to tax deductions.

SIGNS OF POTENTIAL TAX EVASION

According to the inspection materials, the enterprise's annual income was lower than the value of the bonds issued. This disparity indicated signs of evasion of corporate income tax.

TAX AUDIT AND RECOVERY

Following a submission from the prosecutor's office, a tax audit was carried out, which confirmed the identified violations. As a result, 1.1 billion tenge was recovered for the budget.

MONITORING COMPLIANCE WITH LEGISLATION

The regional prosecutor's office emphasised that issues of compliance with tax legislation and the timeliness of budget replenishment are under particular scrutiny. These measures are aimed at preventing repeated violations by large taxpayers.
