Selam of the West Kazakhstan Region has been allocated 5.5 billion tenge for water supply from returned assets

In the West Kazakhstan Region, 5.5 billion tenge was allocated from the Special State Fund for the implementation of 11 projects involving the construction and reconstruction of water supply systems. The funds were allocated as part of fulfilling the President's instructions on the development of socially significant infrastructure.

According to the government press service, the bulk of the financing, amounting to 4.3 billion tenge, will be distributed across 9 facilities.

1.8 billion tenge was allocated for the construction of main water supply systems, including laying a branch to the settlements of Tolen, Saule, and Karakamys in the Karatobe District.

2.5 billion tenge was allocated for laying water supply networks in eight villages in the Terekti and Karatobe districts, as well as the Bayterek District.

Additionally, 1.2 billion tenge was directed towards providing water supply to residents of the village of Kirsanova in the Bayterek District and reconstructing the Urdinsky group water pipeline in the Zhanibek District. It is reported that to date, the work is 60% complete.

"This work is aimed at fulfilling the Head of State's instruction to provide 100% of the population with high-quality drinking water. According to the Ministry of Industry and Construction, the current level of access in the West Kazakhstan Region is 100% in cities and 97% in villages," the statement said.

As noted by the government, overall, 375 billion tenge was allocated from the Special State Fund for the construction of more than 400 social projects.

"Schools, hospitals, sports complexes, water supply facilities, and others are being built. 44 facilities have already been completed and opened to the public," the government concluded.

Recall that in March, the government allocated about 4.2 billion tenge from the Special State Fund for the construction and modernisation of water supply systems in the Aral District of the Kyzylorda Region.

In April, the government allocated 1 billion tenge from the Special State Fund to provide water supply to residents of the towns of Kosshy and Makinsk in the Akmola Region.

In July, more than 20 billion tenge was allocated from the fund for the construction and modernisation of water supply networks in the Turkestan Region.

In August, the government made a decision to allocate over 10 billion tenge from the fund for laying water supply networks in the Abay Region.
