At an extended meeting of the AMANAT party faction, with the participation of the Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and members of the government, the progress of implementing the President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan was reviewed.
According to the government's press service, projects to provide 100% of the population with drinking water are planned to be completed this year. For this, 147 billion tenge has been allocated from the republican budget, with an additional over 160 billion tenge from the Special State Fund. By the end of the year, work is planned to be completed in 17 cities and 463 villages.
It is reported that under the project ‘Auyl Amanaty’, 25,000 initiatives for developing rural businesses will be financed. This is expected to create around 30,000 jobs.
In 2026, 5.4 trillion tenge is planned to be allocated to support the regions. As the government emphasised, the key instruments will be not only direct financing but also the use of state support mechanisms through development institutions.
According to the department, the holding company ‘Baiterek’ has provided assistance to entrepreneurs totalling over 4 trillion tenge since the start of the year, which constitutes more than half of the annual plan. Of this amount, around 2 trillion tenge was directed towards developing small and medium-sized businesses, over 1.5 trillion tenge towards supporting large enterprises that generate a chain of related companies around them.
Recall, earlier in the West Kazakhstan region, 5.5 billion tenge was allocated from the Special State Fund for the implementation of 11 projects involving the construction and reconstruction of water supply systems. The funds were directed as part of fulfilling the President's instructions on developing socially significant infrastructure.
