The prosecutor's office of the Nura district in the capital identified a case of misuse of budget funds by accountants at one of the city's preschool institutions.
According to the press service of the Astana prosecutor's office, the accountants unjustifiably awarded themselves more than 6 million tenge in additional wages.
Following a prosecutor's order, the specified amount was returned to the budget. Those responsible were subjected to disciplinary action, though the prosecutor's office did not specify what this entailed.
Recall that in mid-November, in the Mugalzhar district of the Aktobe region, an accountant from two kindergartens, Gulnara Kurmanbayeva, was convicted of embezzling 60 million tenge.
Later, in preschool institutions in the Mugalzhar district of the Aktobe region, instances of misappropriating budget funds totalling over 54 million tenge were uncovered. It emerged that accountants from kindergartens ‘Balausa’, ‘Gulder’, ‘Shapagat’ and ‘Aray’ had signed banking documents on behalf of the directors and transferred the money to their own accounts.
