The Prosecutor's Office of Kostanay Region protected the state's financial interests in 2025, returning over 9 billion tenge to the budget. A significant portion of the work focused on public procurement, where funds were recovered from dishonest contractors and unjustified expenses were cancelled.
RECOVERY OF FUNDS FROM CONTRACTORS
As a result of oversight in public procurement, approximately 1 billion tenge was recovered. In particular, over 300 million tenge in advance payments was returned from one contractor. Contracts for the construction of residential buildings with this company were terminated, preventing further expenditure of budget funds.
PREVENTION OF UNJUSTIFIED EXPENDITURE
In total, the results of public procurement were annulled, which saved more than 6 billion tenge. Such measures help reduce the risks of price inflation and unjustified budget planning.
RESULTS OF OVERSIGHT WORK
In 2025, the actions of the prosecutor's office ensured compensation of over 9 billion tenge to the state revenue. Control over public procurement and other financial procedures remains a priority area of the department's work.
