In the Kostanay region, oversight of environmental violations in industry has been strengthened. According to the environmental prosecutor's office, 21 enterprises operating without the necessary permits were identified in the region, and the total amount of fines collected exceeded 50 million tenge.
HOW MANY ENVIRONMENTAL OFFENDERS WERE IDENTIFIED
During 2025, the environmental prosecutor's office of the Kostanay region stopped the activities of 21 enterprises that were operating in violation of environmental requirements.
As a result of inspections and court decisions, more than 50 million tenge was recovered to the state revenue.
EXAMPLE OF A CASE IN THE INDUSTRIAL ZONE OF KOSTANAY
One of the identified cases involved the activities of Grubbe Stroy Service LLP.
In the industrial zone of the city of Kostanay, the company organised the operation of a concrete plant and an asphalt mixing unit without the necessary permits.
According to the prosecutor's office, two sources of emissions were functioning, the operation of which had not been formally authorised in the established manner.
COURT DECISION AND FINE AMOUNT
By a ruling of the cassation panel on 15 January 2026, a fine of 5.4 million tenge was imposed on Grubbe Stroy Service LLP.
In determining the amount of the fine, the court took into account that two sources of emissions were operating illegally.
