The case of Nurbolat Dakebayev, accused of attacking an ambulance driver, will be returned to the prosecutor's office to be combined with another criminal case.
According to ORDA, the trial regarding the assault on the ambulance driver took place in Karaganda. The hearing was streamed online.
The judge ruled that in addition to hooliganism, Dakebayev is suspected of causing moderate harm to health, and ordered the case to be returned to the prosecutor's office to be combined with another.
"There was a closed craniocerebral injury in the form of a concussion, closed fractures of the nasal bones and nasal septum with displacement, complicated by post-traumatic deviation of the septum, a fracture of the wall of the left orbit, complicated by left haemorrhage of the paranasal sinus and emphysema of the soft tissue of the left eyelid. Subcutaneous haematomas, subconjunctival haemorrhage of the left eye, and a contused wound of the forehead resulted from the impact of a blunt, hard object", the judge read out the list of injuries.
At the same time, he noted that the diagnoses were confirmed by medical examinations. It also became known that due to the injuries sustained, the victim was unable to work for more than three weeks. It is reported that the suspect's detention has been extended by one month.
Recall that earlier video appeared on social media showing 36-year-old Nurbolat Dakebayev brutally beating an ambulance driver in a yard in Karaganda. His arrest was later reported, and he was detained at one of the wintering stations in the Karkaraly District. Later, the beaten driver published a video message in which he stated that he forgives his attacker.
Afterwards, it became known that the police reclassified Dakebayev's actions as hooliganism. On the grounds that, allegedly, a forensic medical examination determined that the victim's bodily injuries fall into the category of mild severity.
However, the victim disagreed with this and filed a civil lawsuit, demanding 5 million tenge from the defendant. According to the driver, he sustained more serious injuries than those established by the forensic medical examination.
