Residents of Aktau have reported problems with heating and water supply. The heating season in the city began on 11 October, but according to citizens, radiators in several homes remain cold.

According to Lada.kz, residents of four houses in the Shygys-2 neighbourhood — Nos. 359, 361, 379 and 380 — took to the streets to ask utility services and the akimat why the heating had not been switched on.

"We pay for utilities, but we don't receive them. For example, we haven't had heating for a single day. It's already cold at night, the walls have long since cooled down and don't have time to warm up even on a warm day. The children are getting ill; any day now the temperature will drop, and then we will freeze completely," say the residents.

According to them, despite regular payment of utility bills and mortgage payments, the quality of the services provided remains extremely poor. The people have warned that if the utility services remain inactive, they are ready to go out onto the road and block the traffic.

Furthermore, water supply problems persist in other parts of the city. Residents of house No. 13 in the 28th neighbourhood reported they have been without technical water for two weeks. A resident of house No. 36 in the 6th neighbourhood complained about the drinking water being cut off, which lasted for two days.
