The court of the Beimbet Mailin district has passed a sentence on officials of KTJ in the Kostanay region. They were suspected of corruption.
According to the press service of Anticor, in the dock were the head of the Kostanay operational locomotive depot, a branch of the LLP "KTJ – Freight Transportation" Makhmutov A., his deputy Syrmakov Zh., heating engineer Serikuly B., and the head of the fuel depot at Tobol station of LLP "TD" TEK-Kazakhstan" Yelyusinov K.
They were found guilty of stealing diesel fuel and funds allocated for the repair of a railway crane, totalling 12 million tenge.
As a result, the court sentenced Makhmutov, Syrmakov, and Yelyusinov to between 3 and 4.6 years of imprisonment, while Serikuly received 3 years of restriction of liberty.
In addition, the convicted persons were permanently deprived of the right to hold positions in public service.
