In the Aktobe region, the head of the Zhem operation locomotive depot of the Batys branch of KTZ-Freight Transportation LLP and his subordinate have been convicted.
According to the press service of Anticor, he was found guilty of receiving a bribe of 1.5 million tenge through an intermediary – the locomotive depot's human resources manager.
The bribe was intended for the employment of a person as an assistant locomotive driver.
The court found the head of the branch guilty and sentenced him to imprisonment for a term of 3 years and 6 months.
Under the same verdict, the intermediary was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months imprisonment, and the bribe-giver to 3 years' imprisonment.
Furthermore, the convicted individuals were permanently stripped of the right to hold positions in the civil service and in quasi-state sector entities.
Recall that in May, the court of the Beimbet Mailin district announced a verdict against KTZ officials in the Kostanay region. They were found guilty of stealing diesel fuel and funds allocated for the repair of a railway crane, totalling 12 million tenge.
In early November, it was reported that a verdict was handed down in Astana against the former head of the automation and digitalisation directorate of NC KTZ JSC. He was accused of using his official powers to extract benefits and advantages for himself and others, which caused grave consequences for the organisation (Article 361, Part 4, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
