In Zhanaozen, Mangystau Region, an employee of the state revenue department was dismissed for participating in gambling.
According to Lada.kz, the regional department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs reported that the civil servant placed bets via Netbet LLP.
An investigation revealed that the man registered on the platform in July 2020, and in spring 2025, he topped up his account and played several times.
The disciplinary committee of the city administration recommended his dismissal for violating civil service legislation and anti-corruption restrictions. By order of the head of the department, the employee was dismissed.
Earlier, it was reported that in Shymkent, authorised bodies identified 54 employees involved in gambling. Of these, 30 are civil servants.
