On the instructions of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, more than 2.2 billion tenge from the Special State Fund of returned assets have been allocated to provide villages in the Kyzylorda region with quality drinking water.
According to the government press service, the funds will be used for the construction of six new water supply facilities in the Aral and Kazaly districts, where approximately 2,000 people live.
The projects cover the villages of Tastubek, Yerimbetzhaga, Shaken, Shili, Shitubek and Sarbulak. The work includes both connecting settlements to group water supply systems and building intra-village networks.
Construction and commissioning of the facilities are planned to be completed by the end of this year.
According to the government, providing the country's population with accessible and safe drinking water remains one of the key tasks set by the Head of State for local authorities.
Earlier, it was reported that on the instructions of the President, the Special State Fund allocated 5.6 billion tenge for healthcare projects in the Abay region.
