The minor who reported a rape in the West Kazakhstan Region has dropped her claims.

In the West Kazakhstan Region, a criminal case opened under the article on the rape of a minor is under investigation. During the investigation, the 16-year-old girl and her mother stated that they had no complaints against the suspect. The police reported that the investigation is ongoing and final conclusions have not been reached.

HOW THE INVESTIGATION BEGAN

The incident occurred in the Shyngyrlau district. According to initial information, the minor’s father contacted the police. He stated that on 2 January, a man lured his daughter to his home under false pretences and committed sexual assault against her.

The police department confirmed that a criminal case had been opened on this matter under Article 120 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Rape of a minor”).

POSITION OF THE INVESTIGATION

As reported by the publication “My City”, the police later stated that during the investigation, correspondence and other materials were examined. According to the investigation, no facts of violence against the minor were established.

The 16-year-old girl herself and her mother informed law enforcement authorities that they had no complaints against the suspect. According to them, the relationship was consensual. It is specified that the girl and her mother reside in the city of Aksay.

WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE SUSPECT

According to police information, the suspect worked in one of the departments of the akimat of the Shyngyrlau district. He was dismissed after the complaint was filed.

The investigation into the case is ongoing. Investigative actions are being carried out at the district police department; details are not being disclosed. The materials are under the control of the leadership of the police department.
