More than a hundred entrepreneurs in Astana were selling livestock products that had not passed veterinary and sanitary control.
At the same time, the press service of the capital's prosecutor's office reported that veterinary laboratories located in retail facilities identified violations of veterinary and sanitary conditions.
The department also established that some laboratories were operating without a veterinary and sanitary certificate.
"Based on acts of prosecutorial supervision, those responsible have been brought to administrative liability, and an official of the state enterprise has been brought to disciplinary liability. The identified violations are being eliminated by the authorised bodies", the statement says.
At the same time, the monitoring agency Energyprom reports an increase in the cost of meat and meat products. Over the year, their average price rose by 6%.
- beef — by 6.5%;
- pork — by 6.4%;
- lamb — by 5.4%;
- horse meat — by 3.7%;
- poultry — by 3.3%.
According to analysts, in regional terms, meat and meat product prices rose the most in the Akmola Region: by 11.8% over the year. The top five regions with the highest price increases included the East Kazakhstan and Atyrau Regions, as well as the Ulytau and Abai Regions. The smallest price increase in the sector was observed in Shymkent, as well as in the Turkistan and West Kazakhstan Regions.
It is also noted that since the beginning of the year, the country has produced 20.3 thousand tonnes of all types of meat. This is 13.9% more than last year.
Recall that at the beginning of April, it was reported that in the Mangystau Region, meat prices rose due to floods and closed roads. At that time, the wholesale price of one kilogram of lamb on the markets increased by 100 tenge.
