The military court of the Akmola garrison sentenced a lieutenant colonel who distributed hashish to 9 years in prison.
According to Informburo.kz, he was caught red-handed while placing flasks containing hashish oil on the window grilles of a residential building, fastening them with magnets.
"As a result of a personal search, 34 flasks and seven syringes containing the narcotic substance 'hashish oil' with a total weight of 23.62 grams were seized", the report states.
The convicted man was also stripped of his military rank. In addition, 69,000 tenge was recovered from him for the Victim Compensation Fund. It is reported that the verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
Recall that earlier, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Shyngys Alekeshev, stated that last year the department identified three cases of drug trafficking by law enforcement officers. The spokesperson also stated that 80% of crimes within the police ranks are detected independently.
