A large-scale power outage has occurred in Aktau

Submitted by Вера Александрова on

Dozens of residential buildings in Aktau have been left without electricity. According to the State Communal Enterprise "AUES" (Emergency Dispatch Service for Power Supply), damage to cable lines was recorded in several points of the city, but the restoration time remains unknown.

According to Lada.kz, power outages were recorded in 10 microdistricts at once, as well as in the "Ak Zhelken" residential area. In the sweltering heat, the lack of electricity is particularly painful for residents: air conditioners are not working, and the temperature in apartments continues to rise.

Residents are massively turning to social media and the media, asking to draw the authorities' attention to the issue.

Some citizens reported that there has been no electricity since the morning. According to them, neither AUES nor the city administration have provided clear information about the causes and restoration time.

The State Communal Enterprise "AUES" confirmed that damage to cable lines occurred in a number of areas in the city, but emphasised that repair work is ongoing and the exact time of its completion will be known later.

Recall that on July 13, a case of chlorine poisoning was recorded at a swimming pool in Atyrau. 14 people sought medical help. The next day, it became known that the incident occurred against the backdrop of a series of sudden power outages.
