Auctions for the sale of items seized from the mansion of former KNB Chairman Karim Massimov took place on the Electronic Trading Platform. The bidding occurred on 16 September, with five lots sold.
According to Informburo.kz, the most expensive lot was a gold coin of the Elizabeth II series with a face value of 200 dollars featuring a kangaroo. Four bidders competed for it: the starting price of 3.2 million tenge rose to 4.3 million tenge.

The cheapest item was a set of costume jewellery. It was sold for 42,000 tenge with a starting price of 22,000 tenge.
Additionally, the following were sold:
- a sabre in its scabbard with coloured enamel inlay and bone inserts – for 385,000 tenge;
- two Caucasian daggers – for 438,000 tenge;
- a knife in a yellow metal scabbard – for 155,000 tenge.

The Committee for the Management of State Assets (KUVA) has not specified from whom these items were seized, however it is known that they are part of the inventory of the mansion belonging to Karim Massimov.
Incidentally, Massimov's mansion in Astana was put up for sale three times, but no buyers were found. KUVA reported that it had received an official request to transfer the property to the city akimat. However, the akimat later stated that the issue of taking the building onto its balance sheet was not under consideration.
It is worth recalling that in April 2023, Karim Massimov was sentenced to 18 years in prison for high treason, attempted forcible seizure of power, abuse of power and exceeding official authority.
