According to the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport, the total volume of investment in domestic tourism on 1 January amounted to 527.6 billion tenge. This is 69% more than in the same period last year, when investments stood at 311.8 billion tenge.

By the end of the year, the department plans to implement 148 investment projects. It is expected that this will help create around 2,500 new jobs in the country.

"The growth in investment in the tourism sector demonstrates a high level of interest in the development of this strategically important industry. Providing tourist destinations with the necessary infrastructure will make Kazakhstan more attractive for foreign and domestic tourists," said the chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee, Nurtas Karipbayev.

It is noted that this year 64 infrastructure projects will be implemented, which will also contribute to the development of the tourism industry and the creation of comfortable conditions for leisure and travel.
