Officials and employees of the Zhetysu regional akimat were held accountable following an audit of the efficiency of the use of state resources.
According to the press service of the Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC), the state audit identified a number of systemic problems and violations in the region. For example, delays in landscaping and utility network work led to missed deadlines for moving into completed housing.
"In the Panfilov district, four 60-apartment and two 80-apartment residential buildings have been idle for more than 1.5 years. Their total cost is about 5.8 billion tenge," the statement said.
Following the audit, the akim of the Zhetysu region was instructed to hold those responsible for the violations accountable.
As a result, 2 people were dismissed from their posts, a further 6 received reprimands, and 2 received written warnings. In addition, 2 officials were subjected to administrative penalties.
It is worth recalling that previously the SAC identified billion- tenge violations following a state audit of the efficiency of the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company "Social Health Insurance Fund" (SHIF) for 2022-2023.
