Hockey club worth 900 million returned to the state in the Karaganda region

The Prosecutor's Office of the Karaganda Region returned to the state 37 illegally issued land plots, as well as the Saryarka ice hockey club

According to the press service of the department, the club is valued at 900 million tenge. It is reported that prosecutors are currently checking the legality of the privatisation of state property.

"In order to restore the economic interests of the state, measures of prosecutorial supervision and response will be taken regarding all illegally acquired and privatised objects of state property", the prosecutor's office stated.

In turn, the Telegram channel "Nege.Aqsha" reports that the Saryarka ice hockey club is within the sphere of interest of the brother of the former speaker of the Mazhilis, Argin Nurlan Nigmatulin.

"He is called the founder of the club. After resigning from the post of director in 2018, he remained the club's 'permanent' mentor and advisor", the message states.
