The heirs of Bolat Nazarbayev are dividing up the property

After the death of Nursultan Nazarbayev's brother - Bolat - in November 2023, the process of dividing his property began. 

According to Ulysmedia.kz, in January, inheritance case No. 1/2024 was opened by notary B.K. Isabayev

Members of the Nazarbayev family have filed claims for the right to inheritance. It is reported that the claimants are seeking both shares of jointly acquired property and statutory compulsory shares of the inheritance. 

It has become known that the main heirs are Bolat's son - Nurbol Nazarbayev, who has applied for a certificate of the right to inheritance under the will, and the deceased's spouse - Dinara Nazarbayeva, who is claiming half of the share of property acquired during the marriage. 

In addition, 13 children of Bolat Nazarbayev have applied for a compulsory statutory share of the inheritance: 

  • Bolatkhan Bolatuly: born 7 February 2012; 
  • Nazarbayev Mukhammed Bolatuly: born 21 September 2021; 
  • Nazarbayeva Yerkezhan Bolatkyzy: born 18 May 2018; 
  • Nazarbayev Yelnur Bolatovich: born 19 August 2013; 
  • Nazarbayev Bolat Bolatovich: born 17 October 2014; 
  • Nazarbayev Akbar Bolatovich: born 23 November 2016; 
  • Nazarbayeva Nurbanu Bolatkyzy: born 9 July 2018; 
  • Tomiris Bolatkyzy: born 30 July 2013; 
  • Arunaz Bolatkyzy: born 30 January 2016; 
  • Nazarbayev Khanbolat Bolatuly: born 17 February 2002; 
  • Nazarbayeva Albina Bolatkyzy: born 7 June 2003; 
  • Nazarbayev Khantore Bolatuly: born 26 January 2018; 
  • Nazarbayeva Zhanel Bolatovna: born 3 November 2010. 

Earlier, it was reported that court cases regarding the assets of Bolat Nazarbayev had begun in Almaty. It has emerged that he once litigated for the right to own the land under the BNC Plaza business centre. The plaintiff was the sister of his second wife Maira Kurmangaliyeva – Gulzhamal.
