The Anti-Corruption Service of the Abai region has completed an investigation into the head of the migration service department of the regional police department.
According to the press service of the agency, the case files mention a bribe allegedly received by a migration service employee through her subordinate from a district-level worker. The bribe was intended for a transfer to a unit under the defendant's control.
It is reported that all officials are being held criminally liable for bribery.
"On 20 May of this year, the criminal case was referred to court by the regional prosecutor's office. In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code, other information in the interests of the investigation is not subject to disclosure," the statement said.
Earlier, the Aktau City Court sentenced the deputy head of the migration service department of the regional police department, Sh. Kalmurzaev, to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment. He received a bribe of 3 million tenge from a foreigner for general patronage within the country.
