Prosecutors from the West Kazakhstan Region have uncovered illegally allocated land plots in one of the region's districts.
According to the department's press service, in the Baiterek district, plots with a total area of 45.9 hectares were illegally transferred into private ownership to citizens, with the right to purchase them for gardening and dacha construction.
It is reported that during the transfer of the plot, its price was unjustifiably reduced to 1.1 million tenge, whereas the actual price was 107.3 million tenge.
"In connection with the fact of abuse of official powers, a pre-trial investigation was conducted by special prosecutors against the head of the district land relations department. The criminal case has been sent to the district court," the statement says.
The court found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment. The claim for compensation of damages to the state was satisfied in full.
Recall that at the beginning of September, during a government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin stated that this year, of the planned 2 million hectares, 1.3 million hectares of unused or illegally allocated agricultural land were returned to the state.
The day before, it was reported that in Kostanay, a land plot with an area of 15 hectares and an estimated value of more than 254 million tenge was unjustifiably provided to an enterprise without going through the competitive procedure.
In August, it was reported that in the Aktobe region, agricultural land plots with an area of 30 thousand hectares were returned to state ownership.
In June, it became known that this year, prosecutors from the Almaty region returned 155 plots of unused land with an area of 12.5 thousand hectares and a value of 2.5 billion tenge to state ownership.
