Aktau City Department of Housing and Utilities plans to purchase 192 rubbish containers for 891 million tenge. The department is prepared to pay 4.6 million tenge for each hydraulic system for underground collection and storage of MSW (municipal solid waste).
According to the technical specification on the government procurement website, the cost includes expenses for the purchase of materials and installation of the underground system. The volume of the internal containers must be no less than 1.1 cubic metres (1100 litres).
"The frame of the underground bin is made of a solid layer of metal with anti-corrosion treatment and subsequent application of waterproofing in accordance with the requirements of SP RK 2.01-102-2014. With a planned layer over the entire surface in contact with the ground, ensuring the tightness of the structures when installed in any climatic region, protection from man-made accidents, and protection from flood waters", the statement said.
Preliminary acceptance of applications for participation in the tender will take place from 5 to 13 March.
It was previously reported that Kazakhstanis spend an average of 28.6 thousand tenge per month on basic utility services for a living space of 80 m², which is significantly higher than in neighbouring countries. This includes payment for electricity, heating, water supply, and rubbish collection.
