In Khromtau, Aktobe region, an incident occurred at the ‘Bolashak’ mine of the Donskoy Mining and Processing Plant (GOK) during drilling operations, resulting in injuries to four miners.

“There was a brief ignition of the air environment. As a result of the incident, four workers sustained burns of varying severity; they have been taken to hospital. They are receiving all necessary medical care,” the statement reads.
Meanwhile, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the police department of the Aktobe region, that law enforcement officials have launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of safety rules during mining or construction work.
Recall that in October last year, at the ‘Mirny’ open pit of the ‘Molodezhnaya’ mine of the Donskoy Mining and Processing Plant – a branch of JSC ‘TNK Kazchrome’, two workers died.
