Fines totalling 342 million were issued to pharmaceutical companies for collusion

The Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition (APDC) has completed its investigation. As a result, the court reviewed cases against several pharmaceutical companies. 

The companies LLP «KPC «Medservice Plus», LLP «Akniet» and LLP «Stopharm» were held liable for participating in a cartel agreement during procurement of services for the transportation and storage of medicines. The procurement was conducted by LLP «SK-Pharmacy»

Following court proceedings, the organisations were held administratively liable and fined 342 million tenge

The court determined that the companies had colluded in advance and allocated lots among themselves, creating the illusion of competition, which constitutes a violation of the Republic of Kazakhstan's antimonopoly legislation.
