Police checked more than 900 organisations that use precursors and medical preparations, including 350 pharmacies, 85 warehouses, 103 medical and preventive healthcare institutions, and 362 industrial enterprises.
According to Polisia.kz, 248 individuals, including 116 medical workers, were held administratively liable for violations of storage, sale, and transportation conditions.
At the same time, law enforcement officers initiated 8 criminal cases in the sphere of handling narcotic drugs, and also restricted the circulation of 35,000 tonnes of precursors, 20,000 tablets, and 24,000 ampoules containing psychoactive substances.
For example, in the Zhambyl Region, an inspection of one organisation revealed violations of precursor storage rules and more than 34,000 tonnes of sulphuric acid were seized. An administrative case was opened regarding this incident. The enterprise's operations were suspended.
In another case, an inspection of a medical organisation in the Aktobe Region revealed violations of the rules for the storage and accounting of narcotic drugs. A criminal case was opened against a pharmacist.
It will be recalled that earlier it became known that in 2024, police identified 38 criminal offences and 633 administrative offences in the sphere of the legal circulation of narcotic drugs.
Among them were 46 cases of illegal pharmaceutical activity and 260 violations of the rules of pharmaceutical activity and the circulation of medicinal products. It was reported at the time that more than 500 officials, including 226 medical workers, were held administratively liable.
