A female employee of the Masak rural district akimat, suspected of kidnapping and abusing a 16-year-old girl, has been suspended from work. This was reported by the akimat of the Enbekshikazakh district.
According to Tengrinews.kz, the police department of the Almaty region stated that two women, one of whom works at the akimat, lured the teenager out of her home and kidnapped her. Both were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. A criminal case has been opened, and the investigation is ongoing.
According to the victim's mother, the motive for the attack was jealousy. She claims the women beat the girl, stubbed out cigarettes on her body, drove her to a river, and sexually assaulted her.
The press service of the akimat clarified that the suspect has been working as a computer equipment operator in the apparatus of the akim of the Masak rural district since 2021.
"The position is not a civil service role; the employee is technical staff. The woman is currently in custody and has been temporarily suspended from work pending a court decision," the akimat reported.
