In Aktobe, a court found a teacher guilty of fraud for providing paid "assistance" to graduates in the Unified National Test (UNT). Taking into account an amnesty, she was sentenced to 2 years and 4 months of restricted freedom and banned from working in the education sector.

How the scheme worked

According to Centralmedia24.kz, the woman, working as a teacher, offered parents of graduates a guaranteed high score on the UNT at a rate of 7,000 tenge per point. To achieve 80 points, each victim paid her 560,000 tenge.

The court established that the teacher used the funds for personal needs. The possibility of actually influencing the test results was not confirmed in the case materials.

COURT DECISION AND PUNISHMENT

The criminal case was heard by Aktobe City Court No. 2. The woman was found guilty under paragraph 3, part 3, article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Fraud").

The court imposed a sentence of 3 years and 6 months of restricted freedom with a ban on engaging in teaching activities for a period of 3 years.

However, based on the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 23.06.2025 "On Amnesty in Connection with the 30th Anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the remaining part of the sentence was reduced by one third. She was finally sentenced to 2 years and 4 months of restricted freedom.

GUILTY PLEA

During the trial, the woman fully admitted her guilt. Other details, including the number of victims and the issue of compensation, were not specified in the published court materials.
