The Prosecutor's Office of the West Kazakhstan Region has identified systemic violations in the region's oncology centres.
According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, doctors ignored the requirements of the rules for conducting medical and social assessments.
In particular, 58 citizens with oncological diseases and persistent functional impairments did not have a disability status.
"Contrary to the established requirements, medical workers did not refer them for medical and social assessment, which led to a violation of the constitutional rights of citizens", the statement said.
Following a prosecutorial oversight order, oncology patients are being prepared for referral to medical assessment.
For the violations committed, the responsible officials of the oncology centre were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
It is worth recalling that in early November, the Prosecutor's Office of the Akmola Region identified violations of the rights of 109 oncology patients. It emerged that the authorised body had not referred them for medical and social assessment to determine their disability group.
