A sentence was handed down at the Petropavlovsk City Court to the director and chief engineer of the LLP "Housing Service of Petropavlovsk".
According to the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the North Kazakhstan Region, they were accused of embezzling 8 million tenge allocated for the repair of a pumping station, as well as the water supply and heating systems of residential buildings in the city.
“The consequences of such cases are always much broader than just the figure of the damage. First and foremost, it undermines trust in the authorities,” the statement said.
As a result, the court sentenced the company's director to 3 years' imprisonment, and the engineer to 2 years. The sentence has entered into legal force.
Recall that earlier, it was reported that the utility company "Kömek" in the Zhelezinsky district of the Pavlodar region had not fulfilled its tax obligations for more than three years and had not paid social contributions and allowances to 137 employees. The debt exceeded 66 million tenge.
