The deputy head of the DP was sacked for being intoxicated at work in the Zhambyl region

In the Zhambyl Region, the deputy head of the police department for informatisation and communications was dismissed following an internal investigation. The reason was information that the employee was found drunk at work, which was spread on social media.

WHO WAS INVOLVED 

According to Centralmedia24.kz, social media posts referred to Yerkin Sakybayev, who held the position of deputy head of the regional police department for informatisation and communications. It was reported that he was found in his office in a state of alcohol intoxication.

The police's official statement did not name the employee. Other circumstances of the incident were not specified in the materials.

WHAT THE POLICE SAID

The Zhambyl Region Police Department reported that officers from the Internal Security Department identified an employee who was intoxicated at his workplace.

"As a result of the internal investigation, he was dismissed from the internal affairs bodies on negative grounds," the department's official statement says.

The police department stressed that measures are taken regardless of the employee's rank or position.
