For corruption, district officials of the Zhambyl region have been convicted.

In the Zhambyl region, the acting akim of the Moyynkum district Tulegenov S., the head of the finance department Adilbayev T., and a representative of a private company Shubayev A. have ended up in the dock.

According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, they are suspected of corruption.

"Tulegenov was found guilty of receiving, and Adilbayev of giving him a bribe of 400,000 tenge in exchange for not removing from his official duties the functions related to work in the area of public procurement and general patronage in the service", the statement says.

Furthermore, it is reported that Adilbayev received a bribe of 600,000 tenge from Shubayev for the expedited payment of completed work on the current repair of roads in the village of Moyynkum.

In the end, the court imposed fines of 12 million tenge each on Tulegenov and Shubayev. Adilbayev was ordered to pay 26 million tenge.
