The Ili District Court of Almaty Region has announced a verdict against a judge of the Talgar District Court, B. Baigaliyev, and a bailiff from the same court, K. Raimbekov.

According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the judge was found guilty of accepting a bribe of 2 million tenge with the mediation of a court bailiff.

It is reported that the money was intended "to change the conditions of compulsory medical measures regarding a person who committed a particularly serious crime against the sexual integrity of a minor".

As a result, Baigaliyev was sentenced to 4 years in prison, and his intermediary, Raimbekov, was fined 20 million tenge with a lifelong ban from holding positions in the civil service.

Recall that earlier, a judge of the Specialised Inter-District Economic Court of Almaty Region, A. Abdrakhmanova, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for a bribe of 122 million tenge.

Shortly before that, officers from the National Security Committee of Atyrau Region, together with the internal security department of the judicial administration, caught a judge of the Makhambet District Court red-handed while receiving a bribe of 2.5 million tenge.
