Concrete plant on Maly Taldykol to be dismantled in Astana

Submitted by Вера Александрова on

The concrete plant that was being built on the shore of Lake Maly Taldykol, without permits and in violation of the law, has begun to be dismantled.

This was announced on its Instagram page by the public association 'SOS Taldykol'.

"We believe this became possible thanks to media publications and, of course, the active support of our dear subscribers in the form of reposts, comments and likes," the statement read.

It has become known that the Department of Ecology for Astana initiated an unscheduled inspection of Nomad Stroy Company LLP (a subsidiary of Sat-NS LLP), on whose territory the mobile concrete plant under construction was discovered. During the inspection, it turned out that the company has nothing to do with the plant — it is being built by an individual.

According to the Department of Ecology, the owner of the plant decided to dismantle the structure after violations of environmental legislation were pointed out. Who owns the plant remains unknown.

Recall that earlier, residents of the capital's buildings at 7 Kazybek Bi Street and 7/2 Kazybek Bi Street complained about a construction company carrying out work on the site of the future eco-park near Lake Maly Taldykol.

The citizens claimed that KamAZ trucks were entering the site and pouring out concrete residue, dumping waste asphalt and other construction rubbish on the lake shore. To support their claims, they recorded videos from the construction site.
