The prosecutor's office of the Karmakshy district of the Kyzylorda region has identified violations in the provision of housing for orphans and children left without parental care.
According to the press service of the department, local executive bodies allowed the removal of children from the housing waiting list, which contradicts the law.
Under current legislation, orphans have the right to receive housing on a priority basis. Moreover, at least 20% of apartments provided from the state housing fund must be allocated specifically for this category of citizens.
As reported by the prosecutor's office, as a result of the inspection, it was possible to restore the violated rights. In particular, a child who had been unlawfully removed from the list was reinstated on the waiting list for housing. In addition, three orphans received the flats to which they were entitled.
For context, it was previously reported that in the Aiyrtaul district of the North Kazakhstan region, an unauthorised person was moved into the home of children left without parental care, and had been living there since August 2024 without any legal basis.
Similarly, in the Mamlutka district, unauthorised people were also illegally living in two municipal apartments intended for orphans.
