The prosecutor's office of the Merke District of the Zhambyl Region found that none of the 20 flats from the region's housing stock were allocated to orphaned children.
According to the press service of the authority, the responsible body committed violations in the distribution of housing among persons with a priority right to receive housing from the state housing stock.
"Despite the fact that 20 flats were purchased from the housing stock by the district akimat in 2022, none were given to orphaned children. Thus, orphaned children were deprived of the state-guaranteed rights to be placed on the waiting list and the opportunity to receive housing," the statement reads.
As a result, following an act of prosecutorial oversight, 3 children were placed on the housing waiting list, and 4 children were given flats from the housing stock with the execution of title documents.
Earlier, the AFM found that one of the orphanages in the Almaty Region was supplied with products at a markup of up to 153%.
